The Lure is a boutique creative studio based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through thelure.studio, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
INFORMATION YOU GIVE US
When you contact us through the form on this site or by email, we collect your name, your email address, and any details you choose to include in your message. We use this to respond to you and, if we go on to work together, to deliver the project.
INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
This site uses the analytics built into our website platform. It records aggregate information such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, and device and browser type. It does not identify you personally, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
To reply to enquiries, to provide and improve our services, to keep this site secure and working properly, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate — currently our website host and analytics provider and our email provider — and only to the extent they need it to do that work. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
WHERE YOUR INFORMATION IS STORED
Our service providers may process and store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, the information is subject to the laws of the country it is held in.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we need it to respond and to maintain a record of our business relationship, and project records for as long as Canadian tax and accounting rules require. After that we delete or anonymise them.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the EU or the UK you also have the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable period.

This site uses only the cookies needed for it to function and for the aggregate analytics described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
